Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Here at the Delphian School, all the exams are done one-on-one, where the examiner will ensure that all the student's questions regarding the subject they just studied are solved and answered to satisfaction. The Delphian School is located on a hill in Sheridan, Oregon. The views here are beautiful and the environment is very quiet. Students could study with the least distraction possible.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
Through my education at the Delphian School, I developed my career interest. While studying different subjects, I fell in love with Food Science. I really appreciated that the school could help me do that. Through my education here, I also gained the ability to work with others better. I changed from a person who was afraid to talk to others to a person who could easily go up to a stranger and have a conversation with them.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
I wouldn't change anything because I think all of my memories are precious. For advice I would say, don't be scared when you first come here. Everyone is willing to help you, and they will not be annoyed.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
I think I liked the environment the most. I loved the way how everyone cares about others and how the school has a tight community which ensured that everyone could be friends here. I ti
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
If you forgot to bring a laundry basket or your shower supplies, don't panic. You can get those in the recreation room. The recreation room also has many hot foods, snacks, and drinks.

Academics:

The Delphian Shcool has a unique curriculum, which ensures that the students could own their educations. Students could move at their own speed and study subjects that will help them in the future.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
At the Delphian School, we have many sports that compete on the Varsity level, including soccer, basketball, and volleyball. All the students are encouraged to participate in at least one interscholastic sports team.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
The Delphian School's art program includes performing art and visual art. The Delphian Choir is very competitive in statewide competitions. This year, we were third in the state.Students in the school can submit their art pieces to "the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards." Every year, we have students receive "gold keys"(highest state awards) and qualify for the national competitions.

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
Our school has community service trips that allow students to contribute to the community. The Delphian School has a special "Student Service Program" where every student is assigned to clean an area at the same time on a daily basis, called a "student service." The students who demonstrated their responsibility and leadership would be promoted to run a student service and will eventually be promoted to the student council. The student council helps run the majority of the student's life. This program can help students develop their leadership, responsibility, and the ability to work with others.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
There are four dorms for boys. 201(Freshman dorm), 2east(Senior dorm), 301 & 3East(Sophomore+Junior dorm). Rooms in 201 are shared by two people. Rooms in 301 & 3 East are shared by 2-3 people, and rooms in 2 east are singles. Every dorm has a dorm captain, who does roll call at night and checks each room's cleanliness in the morning. The dorm captain also ensures that the dorm members are getting along with each other well. For that purpose, there could be activities that a dorm could do as a unit. At the end of every year, students could choose their roommates for the next year.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
Our school has a buffet styled dining room. There is also a salad bar and a sandwich bar. The food here is healthy and balanced.
