School Notes
- Founded in 1911 in Outlook, Saskatchewan, LCBI High School has been home to thousands of students spanning across 10 provinces, territories and 24 different countries. No matter where they come from, they always feel at home with the small class sizes, dorm life, and incredibly strong faith community. Our tight knit Bison family comes together every fall for Homecoming weekend where those connections grow stronger each year.
- LCBI has a combination of boarding and day students in grades 9-12. Boarding students experience immense growth and maturity living away from home while under the supervision of Campus Life staff. Day students are often found on campus all evening and on weekends participating in the campus life activities and are an integral part of what makes the LCBI family so special.
- Fully accredited teachers deliver courses recognized by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. LCBI offers a small staff to student ratio with an average class size of 20. Increased one-on-one attention from teachers along with evening supervised studies helps students to excel in their academics.
- LCBI has a competitive athletic program that has hoisted over 100 provincial, individual and team banners in our impressive gymnasium. With an updated weight room and training facility and award winning coaches and refs, athletic development is a rapidly growing area at LCBI that has seen over 150 athletes continuing on to the university or professional level sports with at least one every year in the past 7 years.
- LCBI is open to students of all faith backgrounds and denominations. Our motto We Would See Jesus is put into action everyday with our daily chapels led by our Faith and Worship teams, students, staff, and special guest speakers. Students attend Church on Sundays and participate in Bible studies and devotions.
- Explore the arts through the LCBI concert or chamber choir while travelling through Saskatchewan and Alberta for the annual Choir Tour, produce wonderful music through handbells, participate in the spring musical production, and expand your creative abilities through art and drama classes.
- LCBI offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities ranging from weekend recreational events to off campus excursions. During the week students can be found participating in clubs such as Esports, Art, Drama, Robotics, Debate, and Musical groups. Have an idea for a new club? Let's make it happen! The weekends are filled with fun events hosted by the Campus Life staff. Our annual off campus excursions include an Alpine trip to the mountains, a Mission trip to Mexico, camping, canoeing, skiing/snowboarding, and leadership retreat for the whole student body.
- LCBI's Leadership Program is intended to provide students with individual and team leadership opportunities by being placed into a house group. Each group is responsible for hosting rotating weekly events in the categories of academics, intramurals, arts, faith & life, service, and health & wellness. This provides students the opportunity to work as team members and as leaders, while getting to know students across different grade levels.
