Throughout my time at North Broward, I participated in many activities, including orientation leader , school ambassador , head of student affairs , track team member and the list continues. North Broward truly has More options than any school you will find, if you’re passionate about some thing, I assure you, you can pursue it at North Broward.

Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
North Broward is one of the most magical places on this planet. I treasure every day I want to here. Not only is it an incredible school, but its culture of community truly creates a lifestyle unique to students in South Florida. The ability for students to develop, and find their own passions by creating their own academic and personal development plan with world, reading educators is truly incredible. The faculty and staff at this institution truly care about the individuals, inner personal growth and life in and outside of the classroom. At North Broward a student can be whoever they want to be. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of and a wealth of support to get you through. I cannot recommend this institution and community more if I tried. If you are considering an international boarding school, then work no further North Broward should be your new home.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
I think the best thing I experience in North Broward was the relationship that I built. I truly was able to build my confidence and find out who I am. I still remain in close contact with many faculty and administration, and currently serve on the alumni board.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
I think something important to mention this to take advantage of opportunities. North Broward has adopted a true growth, mindset philosophy, which allow students to try a bunch of different things and find their passions.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
It’s hard to just pick one thing I loved every minute of it.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
I think my biggest piece of advice for people, considering North Broward is to take advantage of opportunities. You never know how incredible this place is until you leave. It truly prepared me for the real world, and will always have a special place in my heart.

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
The school puts a strong emphasis on critical thinking. Rather than teaching to the test like a traditional school, north Broward encourages students to develop a perspective on a subject matter, and then defend it with evidence based research. The school also uses a variety of forward thinking Education methods such as thinking, maps, group, discussions, essays and projects in Lou of normal traditional testing.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Under the direction of the incredible Michael Ostroski , this school has one of the best athletic programs for secondary schools in the United States. In addition to a 44,000 square-foot global wellness center, North Broward provides programming for all students, regardless of athletic interests or ability. The coaches here have been recognized nationwide for their dedication to helping young athletes succeed, and promoting a wellness mindset within the community.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
The fine arts program is incredible as a part of the Nord Anglia family of schools North Broward prep fine arts program works alongside with Juilliard , one of the best art institutions in the United States and the world to create incredible experiences for students, including an international fine arts festival that takes place every year.

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
With more than 55 student clubs and organizations, there is truly something for everyone. In recent years, the school has also implemented a way for students to create their own clubs, which makes it easy for anyone to follow their passions.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Completed for the 2018 school year North Broward, Preparatory School’s international village houses all dormitory students. The dorm is beautiful and much nicer than what you’ll find on most college campuses. Each floor features a communal kitchen, study lounge, and multiple areas for relaxation. The Dorm also has incredible views of South Florida wildlife along with an adjacent pond.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
The food here is absolutely amazing. You can expect to find everything from steak to Salmon and even southern style barbecue ribs. There is also occasional carving stations which resemble high-end country clubs. The culinary staff does whatever it takes to meet the dietary needs of all students and ensures a delicious and healthy experience for all.

Social and Town Life:

1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
The Boca Raton area is absolutely stunning surrounded by areas such as Mizner Park and the wonderful Atlantic ocean there’s always something to do. The school does a great job of taking students out on trips and activities to explore the local area.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
Unlike most schools, there is a true sense of community at North Broward. Students are kind to each other and treat everyone like one big family. It is truly an amazing place.
