The King's Academy - Review #8

The King’s Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a special place. I have been here for almost three years and lived with a host family.One unique thing is the arts program. The school has a big theater where students perform amazing plays and musicals. Many students love music, dance, and acting here.Living with a host family made my experience even better. They helped me feel at home and supported me in school. The warm Florida weather and beautiful campus made everything even more enjoyable.

Looking back at my time at The King’s Academy, I realize how much I’ve grown. At first, everything felt new and a little overwhelming, but over time, I found my place. The school challenged me in a good way, and I learned a lot, not just in class but also about life.Living with a host family made the experience even more special. They helped me feel at home, and I got to see more of what life in West Palm Beach is really like. The friendships I made here are some of the best, and I know they will last even after I leave.Boarding school wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it. It taught me independence, responsibility, and the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.

If you’re going to boarding school, my best advice is to be open to everything. Try new things, make friends, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. At first, it might feel a little scary, but trust me, it gets better. Staying organized with schoolwork helps a lot because things can get busy fast. Also, keep in touch with your family—it really helps when you start missing home. Making friends is super important too. Everyone is in the same boat, so just be yourself, and you’ll find your people. And if you ever need help, don’t be afraid to ask. Teachers and staff actually care and want you to do well. Boarding school is what you make of it, so stay positive and enjoy the experience!

What I liked most about The King’s Academy was the International Student Program. It brought together students from all over the world, which made the school feel very diverse and welcoming. I got to meet people from different cultures, and we all supported each other since we were far from home.The school helped international students adjust, whether through extra support from teachers or fun activities to help us connect. Living with a host family also made my experience even better because I got to experience real life in the U.S. outside of school.Overall, the International Student Program made my time at The King’s Academy special. It gave me friendships, new experiences, and a second home.

One of the biggest reasons my experience was so great was the support from Mrs. Sowers and Mrs. Howard in the International Student Program. They helped me so much, always making sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. They truly cared about us, and I’m so grateful for their kindness.Boarding school teaches you independence, but it also shows you the importance of friendships and community. No matter where you’re from, you’ll find people who support you. Take every opportunity, ask for help when you need it, and enjoy the experience—it goes by faster than you think.Most importantly, don’t be afraid to be yourself. That’s how you’ll make real connections and get the most out of your time here.

The academics at The King’s Academy are challenging but very supportive. The teachers care about the students and help us do our best. There are many different classes to choose from, including advanced courses.What I liked most was the small class sizes. It made it easier to ask questions and get help. The teachers always encouraged me to improve and work hard. I also liked how we could do hands-on projects, which made learning more interesting.

I was on the tennis team and it was lots of fun. That’s where I made my friends in my first year at the King’s Academy and it helped me connect a lot to other students.

Didn’t do Theatre/ Visual Arts.

I didn’t really attend any student organizations.

Living with a host family was one of the best parts of my experience at The King’s Academy. At first, I was nervous about staying in someone else’s home, but they welcomed me like family. They helped me adjust to life in the U.S., supported me in school, and made sure I never felt alone.Being part of a host family also gave me a chance to experience real American life outside of school. I got to try new foods, celebrate holidays with them, and explore West Palm Beach in a way I wouldn’t have if I only stayed on campus.Over time, they became like a real family to me. Even after leaving, I’m still in contact with them, and I know our bond will last forever. I’ll always be grateful for their kindness and everything they did for me.

Sage dining was really good everyday was something different and they had something for every preferences.

West Palm Beach is a great place to live. It has beautiful beaches, nice parks, and lots of shops and restaurants. The weather is warm and sunny most of the year. There are fun things to do, like visiting CityPlace, going to concerts, or trying different foods. The town feels safe and welcoming, and people are friendly. Living here while studying at The King’s Academy made my experience even better.

The social life at The King’s Academy is lively and fun. Students come from different places, so I made friends from many backgrounds.There are school events, sports games, and clubs where we hang out and have fun. Since I lived with a host family, I also got to experience local life outside of school. The friendships I made here are special and will last a long time.
