Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Merrick is a home to students from all over the world. This makes it unique because students with different cultures and backgrounds work together during the academic year and learn new things whilst working with one another which is something not all schools have.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
The best thing that happened to me was I got to learn so many different things about different cultures around the world and that enables me to easily interact with others and learn more.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
I would have from beginning tried to interact with the other students and staff as they are very friendly.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
The friends I made whilst I was there!
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Love the chocolate milk and granola bars!

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Academics at Merrick prepares students for much more than just completing the year. The workload at Merrick prepares one for university level which is advantageous to the students as they will easily cope up with the work assigned to them in university.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
At Merrick there are many sports one could Participate in. I participated in soccer and ball hockey. Usually every Monday after classes it was mandatory to participate in one sport.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
Merrick has a Music club and Art club

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
I enjoyed the different volunteer activities we could participate in. The best one for me was the Christmas in Merrickville where I and a couple of friends where helping out at the fire barrels making sure the fire is on and no one gets to close to it but can enjoy roasting their marshmallows.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
At Merrick there are 3 floors and each room has 2 students. Roommates and Rooms are allocated randomly. The rooms have 2 beds, study desks, chairs, desk lamps, closets for each student plus a common closet, ottoman, and shoe rack.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
Dining at Merrick is different. Every week different dishes are made and during lunch every student is assigned a location this is done so that students can interact with other students that may not be in their grade and get to know them to. During breakfast and dinner students are welcome to sit wherever they feel comfortable.

Social and Town Life:

1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
The school is located in Merrickville which is a peaceful, friendly and quiet environment good for students. The quiet environment allows students to study well.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
During the weekends students at Merrick would spend some time of school work and take time to relax by watching movies, making a snack and talking to other students in the snack bar area, walk around Merrickville and enjoy the scenery or play sports.
