Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
I really like that we need to wake up at 6:30 every day and after the first formation and breakfast, we need to clean up our room, ensure everything is organized. It has been the most self-disciplined two years in my life.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
The education, the environment the school provides are the best thing forever. I feel proud that I am the only Chinese took English Honors class during junior and senior year. And before graduation, I get 3 medals, thank you to the school. I changed a lot, I learned independent thinking and be a kind person.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
Emmmm. That’s a good question, I would say maybe I should be more hard working? I suggest kids don’t hesitate to go to Admiral Farragut Academy because of its multi cultural, diverse, comprehensive environment.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
I love everything about Admiral Farragut Academy.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Why not change the world? Btw, Mrs William’s office has the best and the most kitkat and all other chocolates.

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I like the way that our course schedule is flexible, except those mandatory courses, we can choose whatever we want. I come from China, where the education system is different. I love all my Math teachers and English teacher’s courses. I love the way that they broke the complex concepts and present them in a easy and understandable manner. And Mrs Williar is the best counselor, she really helped my a lot!!!!

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Actually, it’s mandatory to do some outdoor activities after school. So I joined the basketball team. It helped me overcome my social anxiety and push me to use a second language to communicate with others.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
I really love Drama Class. It’s the first time I read Shakespeare. I learned to appreciate the British literature. I also had the chance to see my classmates acting the show.

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
The mandatory community service hours helped us to concern for others, and we can go to some place we will never go there, such as auction house, to do community service. It was quite a impressive experience.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Our RAs are so nice!! There’s in unit bathroom, which is good. Two people share a bathroom. Ever since I entered college, it’s always 2+ people share a bathroom, so I really miss high school. And if your request is appropriate, you can definitely switch dorms.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
I really miss the food in our dining hall, and the dining hall opens really early(5:30 p.m) during weekdays, people on watch will make announcements at 5:30 p.m, so that you won’t miss the dinner.

Social and Town Life:

1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
I love St Petersburg, love the shopping mall, beach, and the weather in Florida!!
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
We have a lot of activities. During weekends, we can go to cinema to watch movies, go to Walmart for shopping, go to Disneyland. And I really like our senior trip, I remembered we went to Universal Studio in 2019.
